Parent and Sibling Support Groups

When one family member serves in the military, the entire family serves. That’s why the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program is committed to meeting the mental health needs of both veterans AND their families. We offer free monthly support groups for parents and siblings of military service members who are serving or have served in Iraq or Afghanistan. Free parking is provided.

For Parents of Veterans Who Have Returned from Iraq or Afghanistan

The support group for parents of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans is designed to help parents when a veteran son or daughter has returned home, and is struggling with combat stress or a traumatic brain injury. The group helps when family relationships are strained after the veteran  returns home and is reentering civilian life including work or school. Friends and other family members may not be offering the support parents need to cope with an adult child’s difficulties.

• When: 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:00 p.m.—7:30p.m.
