Consider running next year to support veterans!
The Home Base Program is committed to serving the needs of veterans and their families, but we need your support to ensure that our veterans and families, who have sacrificed so much in service to our country, receive the best health care has to offer. There are many ways to support the Home Base Program:
Your tax–deductible gift to the Home Base Program will help fund programs that give veterans and families access to clinical and support services, and to the most advanced treatments. For more details about any of the following donation options, please visit www.massgeneral.org/give or www.redsoxfoundation.org/donate. There are a variety of ways to make a gift:
Making an outright gift to the Home Base Program allows your donation to be put directly to use in the care of veterans and their families. A gift of cash is the most common and convenient method of donating to the Home Base Program. Honor a loved one, family, friend, military hero or favorite service member by making a donation in his or her name. A gift to the Home Base Program is a meaningful and enduring gesture to remember a loved one, honor a family member or friend, thank an outstanding caregiver, or celebrate an accomplishment or event.
To make a donation by credit card, please use our secure online donation form or contact us by phone at 617-726-2200. View our credit care processing and handling security policy »
To donate by check, please make the check payable to the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program and list the name of the person being remembered, honored or thanked. Mail your check to either of the addresses below:
If you are a federal employee, you are able to support the Home Base Program via a donation to the Combined Federal Campaign. Home Base CFC number is: 12288.
A gift of appreciated securities is another popular way to support the Home Base Program, and this method of giving may provide you significant tax benefits. To learn more about gifts of appreciated securities, please e-mail us at homebaseprogram@partners.org or call Shana Novak at 617-726-2200 or contact the Red Sox Foundation at 617-226-6614.
Creating an endowed fund or making a planned gift forges a permanent bond between you and the Home Base Program.
Planned giving opportunities and bequests can provide donors significant tax and estate planning benefits. Donors often choose to make a contribution in the form of gifts that provide them and/or their beneficiary income for life. Learn more about planned gifts on Mass General’s planned giving page. You can also e-mail the planned giving team or call MGH Planned Giving at 617-726-2200 or the Red Sox Foundation at 617-226-6614.
Endowed funds are carefully managed for growth, and will help the Home Base Program in perpetuity. Endowed funds may also serve as distinguished tributes to loved ones by bearing their names. A minimum of $100,000 is required to establish an endowed fund.
Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees, retirees and directors. Please consult your company’s human resources department to learn how your workplace matches charitable contributions to charitable programs, and how you might be able to increase the value of your individual donation in this way. For more information about matching gifts, please e-mail us or call Shana Novak in MGH Development at 617-726-2200 or contact the Red Sox Foundation at 617-226-6614.
