Support the Home Base Program
There are several ways you can support the Home Base Program:
Philanthropic Support
The Home Base Program is committed to serving the needs of veterans and their families, but we need your support to ensure that veterans receive the best health care has to offer.
Unrestricted support to the Home Base Program will help to ensure that those veterans who served their country receive the care they need for deployment- and combat-related stress, TBI and related disorders, and that their families get the support they need. The Home Base Program also seeks to advance those ideas and innovations that hold the most potential for helping veterans with deployment- and combat-related stress and TBS and their families now and in the future, as well as train community health care providers in up-to-date diagnostic and treatment approaches to these disorders.
If you are interested in supporting the program, or any specific component such as clinical care, research, family support or provider education, please contact us.
Make a gift
Your tax-deductible gift to the Home Base Program will help fund programs that give veterans access to the most advanced technologies, clinical trials and treatments. There are a variety of ways to make a gift:
Making an outright gift to the Home Base Program allows your donation to be put directly to use in the treatment for veterans and their families. A gift of cash is the most common and convenient method of donating to the Home Base Program.
A gift of appreciated securities is another popular way to support the Home Base Program, and this method of giving may provide you significant tax benefits. To learn more about gifts of appreciated securities, please e-mail us or call Shana Novak at 617-726-2200 or contact the Red Sox Foundation at (617) 226-6614.
Honor a loved one, friend, family, military hero or favorite service member by making an on-line donation in his or her name. Select “Donate Now” to see the on-line donation form for all of the details. A gift to the Home Base Program is a meaningful and enduring gesture to remember a loved one, honor a friend or family member or thank an outstanding caregiver.

Creating an endowed fund or making a planned gift forges a permanent bond between you and the Home Base Program.
Endowed funds are carefully managed for growth, and will help the Home Base Program in perpetuity. Endowed funds may also serve as distinguished tributes to loved ones by bearing their names. A minimum of $100,000 is required to establish an endowed fund.
Donors often choose to make a contribution in the form of gifts that provide them and/or their beneficiary income for life. These arrangements can provide donors significant tax benefits. Learn more about planned gifts on the planned giving page. You can also e-mail the planned giving team or call MGH Planned Giving at (617) 726-2200 or the Red Sox Foundation at (617) 226-6614.
Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees, retirees and directors. Please consult your company’s human resources department to learn how your workplace matches charitable contributions to charitable programs, and how you might be able to increase the value of your individual donation in this way.
For more information about matching gifts, please e-mail us or call Shana Novak in MGH Development at 617-726-2200 or contact the Red Sox Foundation at (617) 226-6614.
